EXPLORING THE FIELD

1st to 4th July 2010

“Your personal purpose is energetically instilled in your bones” Malidoma Somé

A unique opportunity for people who work in the field of healing to spend four days in 80 acres of ancient native woodland exploring the field of sensation through the media of rhythm, ritual and play.

So many of us are caught up in thinking, planning and looking for the meaning of our experiences while attempting to stay in touch with our feeling and sensing selves.

It is for this reason that Earth rituals are necessary.

We will be creating community through individual exploration, music, environmental art and group work that will focus towards an Earth ritual.

Facilitators at this event are:

Alex Waters
is a drama therapist, trainer and counsellor. She is a graduate of the Welsh School of Homoeopathy and is a year tutor there. She has a passion for exploring and sharing the energetic world with others through image work, nature, and creative-expressive methods, to support and facilitate healing journeys.

Bill Rumble
has been practicing homoeopathy for 24 years. During this time he has become increasingly interested in the ritual element of healing as well as the need to move away from the purely cerebral processes in his own practice. Originally trained as an anthropologist, Bill has studied extensively with indigenous healers and participated in men’s ritual work with Robert Bly, James Hillman, Michael Meade and Malidoma Somé. Bill has been developing ritual and “instant community” process work with homoeopaths and health professionals since the mid 90s. He is an enthusiastic percussionist, sculptor and father of 3 sons.

Boyd Erlam is a community musician who specialises in African drumming. A facilitator of wide experience, his workshops are inclusive, playful and engaging. Boyd developed a love of the music of West Africa after being inspired by its ability to bring people together in community and celebration.

Linda Gwillim
has been travelling with homoeopathy for over 20 years and her journey has led her to working with women throughout pregnancy, childbirth and beyond. For the past 14 years she has been teaching at the Welsh School of Homoeopathy and in England and Ireland. During this time she has collaborated with Bill, developing ritual and experiential summer schools at the Welsh School. Music and singing are an important part of her life, as well as being an enthusiastic and playful grandmother.
