Bringing
It All Together: the patient and the practice, with special reference to
Mappa Mundi
*
The Mappa Mundi
(Latin for map of the world) was synthesised form traditional sources by
the Israeli homoeopath Joseph Reeves. It organizes the four elemental
qualities and temperaments into an eightfold division of their opposing
traits along four axes. For example, heat opposing cold with varying
degrees of warmth in between. “While employing the Mappa Mundi for the
purposes of analysing an energy system, we are better able to identify the
dynamic interplay of actions and reactions.” Misha will be bringing a
selection of recent video cases. The focus will be upon finding the
leitmotif, the life theme, in any given case. This involves a similar
quality of attention as understanding the signature of a remedy. This is
expressed through the relationship between outer form/function and the
internal sensation. Misha will bring in the Mappa Mundi in order to
demonstrate the integration of form with function and with signature, both
in case work and in similimum selection.
